It has been said that the South is more real than other parts of the country. It’s because the South has lived through more.
We’ve dined on our region’s delicacies like grits, dumplings, and gravy, but we’ve also eaten our fair share of crow. We are continuing to evolve and change from our dark, lean Post-Antebellum years, and we’ve still got a long way to go… but there is something wonderful about the pluralism of a past.
